Grantchester were proud to be featured in an article in the Ely Standard this week. In response to demand we have been increasing the size of our plumbing and heating business and can now service residential and trade customers.

The construction of Newport Free Grammar School’s sports hall was completed recently by Grantchester Construction. It was offically opened on Friday by David Bell, the Permanent Secretary at the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
The extension to the sports hall, which was completed on time and on budget, adds to the school’s outstanding sporting provision. It provides new classroom and changing room facilities and enjoys a beautiful outlook over the playing fields.

Head Office Plans
We are currently in the planning stage of the construction of our new office, but the plans are in with the council and we await their decison. But in the meantime here is the brick that has been chosen for the project, we can’t wait to see it in the new building.

Charity Bike Ride
Julie Read is going to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats between 15th and 27th September 2009. She’ll be cycling approximately 90 miles a day, and over the 12 days she will have covered just under and amazing 1,000 miles. We wish her the very best luck! Gas Safe Registration
The Gas Safe Register is replacing CORGI gas registration in Great Britain as of April 1st 2009. As a result Grantchester Plumbing & Heating have joined this new scheme and are now registered Gas Safe engineers.
